ZANESVILLE, OHIO · SINCE 1994

Investing in Scholars.
Honoring a Legacy.
Strengthening Our Community.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Fund helps students in Muskingum County pursue higher education through scholarships, mentorship, workshops, and community support inspired by the life and teachings of Dr. King.

OUR MISSION

Rooted in Legacy,Committed to the Future

The MLK Scholarship Fund was created to inspire students with the highest ideals of character, conduct, and service — so they can become resourceful, responsible citizens who give back to their communities.

Our mission is to create and provide quality programs that reflect the life and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through communication, education, and community engagement.

We serve students across five Muskingum County school districts in partnership with the Muskingum County Community Foundation and the Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce.

The legacy of Dr. King inspires me to serve others, work hard, and use my education to make a difference. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and for the people who continue to invest in students like me.

WHY IT MATTERS

Every Student Deserves Someone Who Believes in Them

Beyond financial awards, we provide programming, career exposure, and the encouragement of an entire community — because students need more than tuition. They need hope, mentorship, and a community that stands behind them.
